The course of the procedure
These kinds of beauty treatments, are usually carried out in beauty salons or in professional aesthetic medicine offices. First of all, the face should be thoroughly cleansed and degreased. The next step is to use the head of the device, covered with corundum or diamonds, depending on the method used. Such a head is applied to each fragment of the treated skin. The skin is gently sucked in to cleanse it thoroughly. After the treatment, it requires hydration. In the following days, it should be cared for in a special way. The skin needs enough time to properly regenerate. For this reason, lovers of swimming should temporarily refrain from visiting the pool. This can cause an infection. Beauty treatments in the form of microdermabrasion, they also prevent the skin from being exposed to strong sunlight. In summer, it is good to use the right sunscreen. The same also applies to low temperatures. Long-term frost should be avoided.
How much does it cost and what can you get?
Microdermabrasion can bring many benefits. It smoothes wrinkles, which gives a younger look. It also minimizes stretch marks and removes various types of scars. The treatment lightens discoloration and regenerates the skin. The use of microdermabrasion also stimulates the production of collagen and slows down the processes related to skin aging.
Cosmetic treatments of this type usually last around 30 minutes. One-off treatment may, however, be insufficient to obtain a satisfactory and long-lasting effect. It is recommended to do it five times.
At what cost do we have to take into account? One session on the face costs about PLN 150. However, if we want to apply the treatment to other parts of the body, the cost may increase up to about PLN 700.
Who Should Benefit From Microdermabrasion?
Patients with oily skin and enlarged pores will be the best candidates. People who have problems with scars present on their body can also benefit. However, such cosmetic procedures are not recommended for people who suffer from rosacea. In the presence of all kinds of wounds on the skin, the use of the possibilities offered by microdermabrasion should be consulted with a dermatologist. It is also forbidden to use the treatment in the event of a viral or bacterial skin disease.
Before starting the treatment, the skin should not be depilated or over-sunbathed. This can result in the formation of various types of irritation, which exclude microdermabrasion.
Homemade ways
Cosmetic procedures performed in clinics, unfortunately, are associated with the necessity to incur costs. In a professional salon, the service may not be cheap, and for better results, it should be performed several times. To reduce costs, you can perform microdermabrasion at home. For this purpose, you should have a set of necessary cosmetics. They serve the proper exfoliation of the epidermis. These include thermal peeling, glycolic acid, neutralizing fluid and cream with a UV filter. It is best to perform the treatment once a week. Of course, you shouldn’t forget to take care of your skin afterwards in exactly the same way as after a professional microdermabrasion at a beautician.
Home beauty treatments are easy to perform. After cleansing the skin, massage it with a peeling. Then, after washing the face with lukewarm water and drying it, apply glycolic acid to the skin. Its task is to exfoliate the epidermis. In the next step, you should use a neutralizing fluid that restores the natural pH of the skin. In the last stage, the skin is protected with a cream with a UV filter.
There are also special microdermabrasion devices that can be purchased for home use. Depending on the model, their prices may range from several hundred to several thousand zlotys.
